Think NASCAR doesn't show favoritism?? What was with Kasey getting a pit road speeding penalty and Junior not getting the same penalty? Looked to me like Dale pushed him the whole way down pit road. I'm sick of the NASCAR favoring their golden child. I guarantee that if Jr. doesn't make the Chase, next year they'll have a wild card spot so he can get in.

I know that's right!! The announcers even mentioned that it didn't seem right that Kahne got a penalty and not Jr. But did you notice that Kasey Kahne never brought it up? He's a class act. I sure hope he makes it into the Chase. If anyone deserves it, it's Kasey Kahne!

Dale Jr did not push Kasey down pit road, he was just behind him. There are certain sections in pit road and if they catch you speeding then they catch you speeding. Kasey knew not to pit but he did and he got caught and he had to pay the price. All of the drivers have gotten caught speeding on pit road and all of them will get penalized.

However....that actually helped Kasey because it let him save his car and his fuel and he wound up winning the race. The only people who even brought this up are the fans who dislike Dale Jr and those idiotic announcers who don't know squat about Nascar. Kasey Kahne is not the first driver to get caught pitting on pit road nor will he be the last.

Maybe if some had paid attention they would notice that Kasey didn't even complain about it, he never brought it up once because he knew what he did was wrong. Kasey ignored it and went right on racing his heart out because he wanted that win!

Maybe some of Kasey's fans should take a lesson out of Kasey's book and get some class like he has!!

Also...for those saying that Dale Jr is Nascar's favorite golden child, you are sadly mistaken. IF Dale Jr is the favorite golden child in Nascar how come back in 2004 they penalized and docked points from him when he let a curse word slip when he won at Talladega? If Dale Jr is really Nascar's golden child then why hasn't Nascar given Dale Jr a Cup series championship yet? Why didn't they give Dale Jr a spot in the Chase last year. I mean you claim that Dale Jr is the golden child of Nascar and I thought that with golden children that they get whatever they want? HMMMMM.....

Excuse me treday? Evernham is NOT an embarrassment to NASCAR. NASCAR is an embarrassment to itself.

And I think it was unjust that Jr. didn't get a penalty too. He indeed was on Kasey's butt the whole time down pit road. Even if he wasn't pushing him, he WAS still behind him the whole time, meaning he was going the same speed as Kasey.

As for Kasey, it doesn't really matter about the penalty. He still won and is an awesome racer who can win. He proves himself even if people put him down for being NASCAR's 'Hollywood boy' because he shows them all by winning. I have no doubt that he will be able to get into the chase because of his dedication, drive, and determination.

I know I gusse Nascar loves giving Kasey penalties. This is what the second or third one of the year. Both times he won the race. Hope he can make the chase. He deserves to be in it. I hurd that Kasey sputtered on pitroad after Dale went to his pitstall. Go Kasey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If anyone deserves it, it's Kasey Kahne! they just like lil E b/c of his dad. personally ima a kenseth, kahen, martin fan. and i hate #48,#24,#20, and definately #8 ( he's such a whiny baby) he whined about getting beath out by kenseth for rookie of the year and he's never been a man and never will be a man, b/c REAL MEN know how to tought it up and put it behin them unlike jr.
and i completely agree with the question that was asked 120%

You are so right! They are also trying to GIVE the Championship to Jimmie Johnson... They have been trying to for the PAST 3 YEARS!!! The points should be 3 points for every spot! Kasey is still 30 points out of 10th AND HE WON! What kind of sense does that make? There are certian people that NASCAR officals like more than others... EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW WHO THEY ARE!!! (Hint: Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt Jr; those are the main ones!)

Thank you!!! I was screaming at my tv! It was clear that if he got a penalty Jr. should've too! Kahne AND Evernham (no matter what he does in his personal life) showed class by not crying or complaining with the penalty!

The irony of it is it shows how much of a better driver Kahne is than Jr.! He got the penalty while Jr. didn't and Kahne still beat him!

It was said that it was in the middle of pit road. That it wasn't entering or exit, but in the middle. Trust me, I'm tired of people saying "I didn't speed" Yeah, it doesn't work in the real world to get out of a ticket..and Nascar is all computerized too, and it ain't going to work there.
I'm sure that having Jr on his bumper didn't help. I know I have a tendancy to speed up when I think people are gunning for a seat in my backseat, but I guess it didn't turn out to be that huge of a deal, huh?? He still won..so I think it's high-time we sucked it up and got over it.
Why is it that when Nascar makes a ruling against our driver we start claiming they are showing favoristims, but want them to give harsher penalites to their least favorite driver.. UHMM NO!!!
Man.. BIG BAD NASCAR is not picking on your driver.. They make rulings and judgements based on each individual situation, and yeah, there is a lot of grey area, and it's hard for the fans to understand..but let's not let it boil down to my driver.. Let's let it boil down to facts.

that is not completely true. jr has had his problems and he wouldnt think of himself as the golden child. he hates being in the shadow and would love nothing better than to be seen for the racer he is instead of the racer his dad was. im not even a jr fan.
but you shouldnt judge him. you were not in his car and you dont know where he comes from
