NO we are not safe due to the republicans plotting another 911 attack in our country... we are not safe from a party that will kill Americans to win an election.

As long as we are being misled by a group of fundamentalists who believe war is an answer over diplomacy, we will be less and less "safe".
Today, our great nation has lost almost all credibility and is loathed by more countries than ever before. We have a president who thinks Armageddon is a good thing and takes his orders from a hillbilly preacher/nut-job.
America is truly in it's darkest hour. When the very essence of our freedom is jeopardized by the will of a few religious fanatics, there can be no hope. We need to change the direction of our country and we need change fast.
We cannot afford to let this administration set up another 9/11 to reinforce their fear-mongering.
I say, don't impeach Bush... prosecute him and his "gang".

We would be safer with Bush out of office!!
We are always going to be at risk for some form of terrorism, but I am not willing to give up one of my freedoms just because of that! If a few people, or a few thousand die, is far less than the military has done to keep our freedoms over the years! I don't know why we think we are any different than what WE did to Iraqi civilians in the name of democracy, a total sham!
When we start trying to live with differences rather than using weapons as the court of 1st resort, we will never be safe!
Go to Iraq and see just how safe you are with our military guarding you!
Seventeen dead military in 2 days! We really are making progress!

It is safer; however, it is not 100% safe. The US could certainly learn from Israel on this matter of security, and the reason for that is because they have been living with this kind of problem for years. I'm sure that America would want assistance in this and other matters, if only they would swallow their stuffed pride.

we haven't had any terrorist attacks in america since 911. i think america can prevent foreign terrorist attacks for the most part. but what about natural diasters? new orleans certainly wasn't safe from hurricane katrina. we are vulnerable to a lot of natural diasaters because we just aren't prepared enough. the deadliest attack could be that of global warming. we aren't prepared for that especailly after the bush adminstration took the US out of the koyoto protocol

Nothing is ever completely safe. The USA is still about as about as safe now as it was a decade ago, or two decades ago.

I was attacked in a Safeway the other day by Taliban fanatics who had come over from the Mexican border. Scary stuff. I do not feel safe at all. Some crazy terrorist group could totally take over my neighborhood any day.

No it is not safe, but it is safer than it was 5 years ago. This is because we now fight terrorist with our trained soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. When Islamic radicals want to kill Satan they now go there to fight Satan not here, and now they are fighting our trained forces instead of our untrained civilians. We have been killing tens of thousands of them instead of vise a versa. We have lost brave men and women but we are winning this war. Six years ago we were not even engaging the enemy, or acknowledging he even existed.
