Helping is one thing; explaining something or pointing someone in the right direction or giving them a website. Actually giving the answer does not help much. The student will not likely retain the information and in the end will not be successful. So I would have to say yes, it is a form of cheating.

I think it's cheating if you just write down the exact words as the answer that is given to you, but if you are just taking an idea from the answer and writing in your own words than this will not be called as cheating.

If only they would put the same effort into getting their own answers and doing their own research...but no, fat lazy, it's ll about me American kids.

Oh, I don't know about that....many children do need help, and I don't mind helping with one problem, but I don't usually give the answer, just explain how to work the specific problem.
But, yes, there are more homework q's now.

Depends. If someone tells you the answer, without the work, then yes. But, if they show you the work, cause maybe you don't understand what to do, or understand the concept, then I wouldn't see what was wrong with that.
It's just like a calculator. If you don't know what is going into it, then you don't know what is coming out of it.

I don't think it's cheating, I just think it's getting homework help, if you come across questions like that, just make the question easier to understand, and don't give them the answer :)

Don't worry about it. If they aren't trying to learn the material, it will be apparent once quizzes and tests come around.
