Can someone explain the end of the movie to me. i didnt understand why the mom was still stuck in that one place.

His mom survive but then when she returns to her home, we realize that she and her little girl are alredy dead. It is not stuck but dead, they are in different dimension, we can say that the mother and her daughter in the life after death, so they can't cope with her husband, her father.
The life after death which is created by the movie is the same situation, still on earth, still at the same home, but different dimension.

They are stuck in the alternate "Silent Hill" world, to set-up for the sequel where the father goes looking for them.

It goes along with game. There are 4 Silent Hills. And yes the games are just ask scary as the movie.

I just watched that movie like 2 days ago, and I thought the end was WEIRD myself... I dont know why the mom and child was suck either, but hopefully I will find out by people posting to this..

well even though her and her daugther was home they couldn't see the dad b/c they are dead and he's not so he can't see them b/c he never found them. so it's like their in a different world seperate from each other.
