Contact your service provider for instructions on setting up your home network and assistance with troubleshooting your DSL modem. It's entirely possible that problems with your line, your hardware, or both, are causing the issue.

in no way! Your modem, be it cable or DSL, connects on your router with the help of utilising the WAN port on your router. The router then assigns addresses to all the desktops on your community, and basically coordinates them taking turns utilising your connection. the only difficulty you may run into is in case your DSL modem grew to become into set in bridge mode. DSL connections use a PPPoE protocol that calls so you might login with the intention to apply your connection: on the WGR614, there's a element interior the router settings that asks you "Does your internet connection require a login?" that could already be set up on your previous DSL connection. if so, basically substitute that to "no" and you would be good to bypass.

You have to call your tech help (1-800-) and tell them the problems you are having. The router needs to log in your password and it isn't. Tey will instruct you as to what to do or remote fix it for you. Seriosly, I just went through a similar problem.

You can only use SBC's modem with SBC Yahoo DSL.
