I'm a painting contractor, and here's what I tell my customers: Always think about the furniture and flooring in the room - and anything that you are not changing. The new color should look good with all these things. You could also look at home fashion magazines - but be careful - these shots usually have fabulous furniture and are staged like a movie set. Perfect lighting, perfect scene - the same color may not look good in your room. You should go to a really good paint store - not Home Depot. They have free brochures, ideas and you can take all the paint chips you want - take them back home to your room and hold them up to all your furniture and flooring. Look at them in daylight and in the evening. Don't forget that bright and bold colors will take an extra coat or two of paint! Have fun!

attempt vacationing the library or bookstores(my sought after) to learn the homestead adorning books and magazines to get beliefs. Or attempt reading the major colors on your required or latest fixtures and adorning accents mutually with lamps, images, vases, bookshelves, and mattress covers. hopefully you'll locate a colour which will pass with all those issues. If nevertheless stuck, pass to Sherwin Williams, homestead Depot or Lowes or any paint dealer that has a great number of paint pattern playing cards, and take each and every of the paint pattern playing cards that seize your fancy. Take turns taping them for your wall and observe the way you want those colors in the course of the day and evening. once you narrowed down the options, pass again and observe in case you'll get those pattern paints interior both or 3 oz..jars and paint a pattern board (white poster board or white cardboard container from food market) to be certain a larger pattern that ought to really help you're making a very last decision. desire this helps....

I'm 13 too, and I just repainted my room this weekend. My parents are really good friends with an interior designer, and he helped me out a lot. Three walls are now light orange, one burnt orange, ceiling off-white, and window frames, door, and baseboard are a burgundy brown. It looks really amazing.
Just be you, and remember-if you have a small room, vibrant color really spice things up, and make it feel cozy and uncramped. And if you have a high picture rail, painting it in a contrast color to the walls will make the room look smaller.
Good luck!!!

hey I am 13 and i am repainting my room too!! well, my sis's room and my bro's rooms are already blue and yellow so i am not gonna do those colors and my fav color is pink!! I went to the paint store and picked out a levender type pink and a light pink pink, and they gave us little samples so i could try it on my wall before i choose. I would suggest you don't do a color that is in another room , but a color you like. and try out samples first!! plus u could checkout www.pbteen.com
they have really cool room

Home depot and Lowes offer paint strips with all the available colors.Try to pick some from each color of the color wheel, but remember some colors are fads and go out of style and will leave you with a dated look. Neutral colors are the best, and you can always change your accessory colors, like you do with clothes.

A darker cream color. It's calm and goes with just about any other color in the room. Also will go well with any furniture.

Check which colours would bring you luck! (from astrology) Then pick one which matches finely with the furniture and the flooring in your room. Lighter colours would be better if your room is real small.
