The agony of delete.
I always tell my clients to backup, backup and then backup. For as little effort as it takes to do a backup... it is priceless.

Nope. If you restored from the OEM CD, you wiped and formatted the hard drive. Everything's gone. Sorry.
In case there's a next time: install whatever programs, drivers, etc. you need to get back to your previous configuration, then set a Restore Point (Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore). This will save a copy of the configuration but, if used, will leave data files alone.

there are some softwares for restoring files you already deleted from your pc, the thing is that they are kind of expensive.
So what you can do is this:
First do a search at google with the words "data recovery" there are a lot of those software (not as good as the one you buy), then look for them in torrentz, emule, etc. and download it. Be sure they are safe (googling them again).
There is not guarantee that you will get them back but at least u can try.

there is a way to do it but only if you have a secondary harddrive installed on your computer. you can recover the pictures with a program, but the program will not let you put them on the same harddrive. there has to be somewhere else to put them. or you can call around to professional computer repair shops, someone will be able to recover them for you, but it will cost a lot.
