I moved in with my boyfriend when I was 16 and now it is ten years later and we are still together. Make sure it is a good move on your part because you are the younger one here. Just saying if it does not work out with the two of you , you will be the one left without. I think you have to be 17 in the state of NH to be considered an adult where the police can't do anything or you need your parents permission.

Well, the first thing the laws will look at with you and your boyfriend living together, is what many people now call, "statutory rape." In other words, he would get burned for this and go to jail. Now to avoid this, there are some states that will allow marriage at your age. Some, but not many.
Next, he's 18, your 16. You're desperate to leave your parents. He's desperate to get in your pants ( testosterone peak ). Sounds like fun in the beginning, but then you both will have to work to make ends meet. Do you both have the maturity to accomplish this? What if you get pregnant? There are many sad stories of 16 year olds getting pregnant. I'm not saying you want this, but it can happen. Is he mature enough to deal with this. I don't think so. Trust me. Think long term before making any rash decisions. I know....I know....you're probably thinking, "but we love each other, and that's enough!" That only works in fairy tales. Life is a whole different game. Talk to other teens that made this decision, to see if everything went as they hoped it would. Good luck.

I think different states have different laws about moving out at 16, but I'm pretty sure it's not legal. At 16, you are still a minor, so if you leave, your mom could file a missing child report and probably get you back. You only have 2 more years of being a minor.. if you and your boyfriend are still together then, you can move it with him; otherwise, you will have to deal with your mom.

You're 16, you are still young and I'm sure that life at home is a drag but you need to hang in there for a couple more years. You are too young to be living in your own. You probably think its gonna be great but trust me, living in your own isn't all its cracked up to be. Sta home. Good luck!!!

You're too young. You and your mom may fight but it's not going to be any better living w/ your bf now.
