I believe implantation bleeding is actually the exception rather than the rule.

When I got pregnant the first time I did have some implantation bleeding, and the next time nothing but just a little bit of cramps. I think it's different for all. I know people who didn't experience either cramps or implantation bleeding.

I did not have any bleeding with my daughter. Did have mild cramps similar to feeling like I was getting my period. With my pregnancy a few years ago I did have implantation bleeding for an afternoon. I recently became pregnant again, no implantation bleeding. So it is definitely not necessary. Mild cramps similar to getting your period is normal however.

I'm on baby #3 and haven't experienced either. I had other bleeding issues with the first two, but they turned out fine and dandy. My best friend is pregnant with her first baby and hasn't experienced that either. I think it's something that can happen, but probably doesn't happen with most. If you're concerned, I'd talk to your doctor about it. They can alleviate your fears a lot better than we can. =)

No bleeding and no cramps. The only sign of pregnancy was my period not coming.
