The Green Hulk can beat the original Thing, and the cosmically enhanced Thing can beat the Grey Hulk. I think that the Green Hulk and the cosmically enhanced Thing would be equal in strength. But the Grey Hulk beat the enhanced Thing by being sneaky and underhanded: Hulk wrassled the Thing underwater, then tickled him so that he started laughing and took in water. Hulk would probably have killed Ben Grimm then, except that Spider Man (who had the Captain Universe powers just then) was stronger than the Hulk and punched him into orbit! (He rescued Hulk later, much to Hulk's chagrin.)

This is history. I didn't read the comic, but I saw a reference to it on a marvel website. The Hulk did kill the Thing. I don't know if it was one of those split universe things or parallel universe things or not. I just saw that the Thing died. As referenced by another, the Hulk has no known limit of strength. The Thing simply could not keep up. In all the cartoons, the fight was never allowed to play out for that reason...supposedly.

In a hand to hand, purely strength based and weaponless fight the Hulk would win. The only two people I can think of under those conditions that could kill Hulk would be Thor or Herc. Not even Shukie could last too long against him.

all depends upon which hulk and story-line the two are based off of. the old hulk would out-right win. mainly because hes stronger, and he only gets tougher when hes angry. theres no way thing would be able to outlast him. now the hulk from the ultimates story would lose. hes only big and bad for awhile, the thing could walk away till hulk calmed down then charge back in and crush banner.

i would say hulk and heres why. theyre both humans with some sort of mutation but not born mutants. the hulk gets his strengh from anger now the thing i believe but not sure has a certain amount of strengh already. my conclution is that the thing is gonna get the hulk pissed off more and more and for that i say hulk wins.
