christ you couldn't even PAY ME to use aol. i'd sooner resort to just drawing webpages with a pencil by hand than use that piece of sh-azbot.

Call them and tell them that you have to cancel. They really want your business. There is a good chance that they will give you another month or so of free service. I got theis service free for nearly a year, then when I said that I was really going to cancel, they switched me to Compuserve and I got another three months of that for free. I am not sure why you would want to continue anyway, they are almost as much as high speed and their are other ISP's that aren't as invasive and don't take over you computer like AOL does and they are much more user friendly, and a fraction of the cost.
I have peoplepc- their package is $10.95/month that includes internet callerID and multiple email adresses. I have been much happier with them, then I ever was with AOL. They do not try to control your internet experience, you basically just sign on and then do your thing. You can use any messenger program with it. There is also netzero and I am sure there are others as well.

You don't want AOL , trust me , from personal experiance. They're a "scam people" company , heck , I though they were a good service too , untill I tried to quit. I called up , in a desperate last act , they asked if I wanted 5 months free , I said no , so they finally agreed.Credit Card bill comes , AOL ?!. Call up again , this time , it did get sorted out. I've heard many other stories of people getting scammed by them also. And, once that soft ware is in your computer , you can't completly get rid of it , it's so they can keep popping up adds to join after you quit.
All in all....get rid of AOl. Get something like NetZero or NetScape if your going for Dial Up.

Good lord. Look around you. Your drink is probably sitting on a Free AOL Trial CD from the 90s....I think they still have them at Burger King too.

yeah go to aol.com and sign in for a free acount. i did it just to get their antivirus wich is also free. but if you want them as internet providers then you have to pay i think its 15 bucks the least.
