didn't he win one in busch already? you mean in nextel? well, he is learning patience, maybe next year he can work on consistency, then maybe 2008, he was born with the talent, just gotta cultivate it.

I don't think it will be this year but I do think that he's gonna give it his all this season.

I think that in the next two years he will win his first Cup series championship. Remember though that Dale Jr has two back-two-back Busch series championships, but he has yet to win a championship in the Cup series. I think that when he retires that he'll have won two Cup series championships.

The main thing I've noticed with Dale Jr is that he has greatly improved on the tracks where he usually does bad at. I mean look at how he's done at Las Vegas, Fontana, etc. He has improved really well on those tracks and that is gonna play a big factor in the Chase this season as well as from now on. I think that as long as he keeps improving that he's gonna be a multiple time champion.

Next season they have to work out the problems with the COT. So I think that situation may cause some problems for a lot of the top drivers in the Cup series.

That is pretty hard to predict. The first thing is the team needs to get more consistent at ALL of the tracks. With the way that Jimmie Johnson and Matt Kenseth have been running, it will be a tough task for anybody else to win that Championship.

Dale Earnhardt Jr seems to be maturing more and more. He surprises me at times with his demeanor. He used to get really upset when the car was junk, but he doesn't seem to do that much lately.

I think he will win a championship, but it won't be in 2006. Maybe next year or two, but I don't think they will do it this year.

Hey PRATIK....try driving a NASCAR stock car...although they're called 'stock' cars they don't have all the amenities that you would have in your car that provide for creature comfort...and BTW, do you not know that an 'average' Nextel Cup race can last as long as five hours and that's five hours with no rest stops and no getting out to stretch one's legs...and a NASCAR vehicle drives A LOT differently than a street-legal vehicle, it's literally the driver having to force the car to turn and even to stay on the track. If you watch a race, they have in-car cameras...watch how much a Nextel Cup driver has to fight with steering...and then you have to brake one minute and be ready to be on the gas pedal the next minute....all of this in a car with NO air conditioning, wearing a firesuit, helmet, and HANS device..

At the end of the race, those drivers feel just as dirty, sweaty, and exhausted as they look...and then there's all the post-race stuff, dealing with the press as well as the fans...and if you're the winner, there's even more that you do, publicity and stuff like that!

Could you do it...I doubt it.

BTW, Dale Jr. is still young, he has plenty of time to win championships.

Hopefully this year. Once the chase starts everybody will be close in the points standings. He is building momentum for the chase at just the right time. A win this weekend at Richmond would be a great momentum booster, escpecially after a 2nd this week and 3rd last week. His best chance was in 2004, but when he crashed in Atlanta during the chase he was done after that. I think once the chase starts it is anybodys to win. He has the momentum going. If he hadn't gottn those 2 43rds in a row he would more than likely be in 3rd place right now.

Go JR !!!

P.S. - I will be in Richmond this weekedn to see JR get a win !! Can't wait.

Hopefully this year beacuse I is definatly not going to be Jeff Gordon or Jimmie Johnson. Because if any Hendrick motorsports driver wins the chase the it was bought because both of those drivers are cheaters.

I don't think that DEI has the capability. Although I think he could easily get one at RCR. DEI seems to have lost more than Sr. They have slowly fallen off since his passing.

He has the talent he just needs the cars.

His last name got him into this business..got him all the sponsorships...but there is one thing his name can't give to him on a silver platter..and thats the championship..he is overrated...he may never win..who cares anyhow...why watch a sport thats determined by who has the best machine parts?
