Normally, in most States except CA, you can get a limited license at 16 but must have an adult (licensed) driver accompany you. Then, at 18 you can apply for your regular license.

Well, it depends on where you are, as most people have said already. But, I'm in Florida and I'm 17 years old and I have my driver's license. The only restrictions on mine it that "There no 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. driving unless with a 21 year old or older licensed driver ‘or’ driving to and from work" so i quess that's not bad

Not true as of yet. You can have a cinderella license from 16-to 18 and then you get a regular one. They want to make you wait til 18 to get the cinderella

It depends on what state you live in. Some allow a license at 16 with reduced driving privileges.
