Yes at a very impressionable age on Donahue show a woman was asked why she had so many lovers and her response was, "Wouldn't you try on a pair of shoes before you bought them?" That has stuck with me ever since. It doesn't make for a moral way of living - but it did leave an impression!

Yes, when I was a teen my mother was a bit whacked out and would state really strange things to me. To everyone else she was normal, it was enough to drive a person crazy. I ran into a group of her friends one evening and just asked them what was wrong with me and the life line was they told me when it came to me my mom was whacked.
How freeing for a teenager to know that it is not them and have another adult afirm that, I still handled my mother but she never got to me after that and now I am all grown up, many years and she is so very proud of how I am.... I attribute that to her friends keeping me sane with that life line.

Yes, I was told once in my early adult years when I was going through a tough time, that "your feelings are not right or wrong, they just are and you need to learn to deal with what is ... no matter how you feel about it" I think it was one of the best pieces of advice I ever got!

Nothing stays the same forever..... life changes constantly.
It's true and since I live by this now my life has been fantastic. Doesn't mean nothing bad happens....it just means it'll be better soon.
