Is it hard? Yes. Are the rewards great... yes. It depends on if you are ready, if this is what you wanted, if the pregnancy was planned, etc... I found it physically hard. I found it hard to stay working cuz I don't have any family to help me babysit. But my baby giggling was so cute that it made everything ok.

Being a parent is the hardest job in the world, you are trying to raise a person ( a whole person) to become a productive member of society..

It is also the hardest job you will ever love, the sleepless nights, the things they do that make you wonder if they are somehow alien spawn, and the times you wonder if you will survive the day without needing a rubber room.. All those times fade into pleasent memories as your children grow and you see that they may not be the perfect children you had hoped to raise but they didn't turn out badly....

Then the best part comes along, you get to be a grandparent (this portion will explain why your parents were always smiling when you were raising your kids) you get to say "Yes" when a parent has to say "No" you get to spoil the children and send them home..

So yes being a parent is hard work, but it's well worth all the time, effort and commitment..

Hi 1316. Wow, what a big question. I love it. But I can only give a fast answer so here goes. Yes it is a hard job if you are doing it right. It is no sure thing. It takes a lot of patience. A lot of listening. You have to nurture someone else into being fully human, not stuff another person into the mold you create for them. Your kids will not behave and you will get angry. Time will take on a whole new meaning for you. You will make some serious mistakes (admit to them both to yourself and your kid) and you will pull off some amazing miracles. In the end, you and your child will both survive, a little older and a lot wiser. Is it a hard job? No, it is a joy and you will never be sorry you did it.

Being a parent is one of the most rewarding jobs you can have.
its challenging at times and it takes alot of hard work
initially there are many changes that take place as in your lifestyle.
you need to make many sacrifices and remember that its not all about you anymore
but when your little one looks at you and gives you a smile or when they are older and tell you that they love you without asking them to do so, or just run over to you and give you a kiss for no particular reason its hard to hold back the emotion.
Being a parent is the best, i have had many roles in the work force from bar tender right through to bank manager and althought i have good and bad days being a stay at home mum has been the most rewarding
i have 2 children jordan who is 3 1/2 and Tayla who is 19months,
they are given to you as a blank canvass's so to speak what you paint on it is entirely up to you. i personally think i have paintings that would sit proudly on any gallery wall.

Hard is very relative! Is it hard to open a well wrapped Christmas present? Maybe a little difficult, yes, but who really cares, it's worth it. The important thing is that you're ready to forsake everything else in life including your own hopes and dreams if need be; because this new present IS your new hopes and dreams. And if your not ready... simply wait. If it's to late to wait -then make someone else's hopes and dreams come true. Adoption not abortion.

Some days its hard and others days its really eassy, but even on the worst day when you have run around in circles and you just want to scream and throw things there comes the moment when your children look at you for no reason and goes Mommie you know what? And you say what? And they say I love you! And BAM! It all just melts away and everything is right with the world again.

it all depends every one is not parent material. If you have patiences, love, and have enjoyed all you want out of life for yourself and are ready to commit to settling down for quit a few years than you are ready. some people look at being a parent not an idea because they want to travel and just up and go when ever they want.I raised four children alone and it was not easy but i had all the love they needed and now they are all grown up with there own children all but one my oldest son has no children.

YES IT IS. Begin a parent into today world is really a job. I believe in strong firm discipline but always with a gentle hand. Alot of times as parents we don't want to discipline and then we begin to see all kinds of wrong behaviors.

yes its hard but very rewarding. When you become a parent you are responsible for a human life, a child that depends on you for everything and that's very hard.
