There are 20 cows for 80 legs and 8 turkeys for 16 legs with a total of 96 legs. I more of less used trial and error. Probably there is a formula but I don't know what it is. Sorry. Bea was a very industrious woman.

you need to find the common factors of 96 and 28
assuming all the cows are healthy, they have four legs and the same with the turkeys with two legs.
there still isn't a way of knowing the correct answer. since 4 is divisible by 2, you could make it up and say one cow and 46 turkeys.
