Because if today is good then there's hope that tomorrow will be too. Not everyone goes around absolutely knowing tomorrow will be bad. They just assume because they look back at things. Sometimes we all even hope things get better, even if there's not a chance. There's the people we have that we wouldn't dream of leaving us, and that makes the days sweeter. Those people help make htings better and easier. If you were close to someone like that, and they suddenly die tomorrow after worrying about a bad day today, wouldn't your mind start to race on what will happen next?

Dead yesterday, unborn tomorrow, why WOULDN'T you worry if today be sweet? You'd want to make sure it's sweet for all the others who are still alive.

You worry about today because the now is the only time that is guaranteed. You might die tomorrow, or in the next hour, or you could be dead right now. I don't know what has happened to you since you asked this question.
