Steve Irwin was cracked up to be a conservationist - a husband - a father - and a bloody good entertainer.

So NO, Steve was EVERYTHING he was cracked up to be...and MORE!

YOU - on the other hand - leave a LOT to be desired...

A young woman with two small children has just been widowed because her husband was trying to make a documentary entertaining enough for the masses to enjoy - whilst making them realise what is needed to keep our planet "environmentally friendly".

You are an ars*hole! and I wouldn't WANT 10 points off you............. you a r s e

What kind of question is that???

Are you asking that since he died he isn't superman? Nobody, including Steve Irwin, ever pretended that he was. He was a human being that took risks that YOU never would imagine.

So before you judge him, ask yourself, are you all that you are cracked up to be?

I think he did a great deal to the protection, preservation and conservation of animals and their environments. He educated people, brought animals into their lives so that people could see WHY we need to protect the creatures of the world. So,yes, I think he was everything he was cracked up to be. He was killed by an unfortunate accident on the job...just like if a factory worker got caught in a machine by accident or a police officer got shot in the line of duty...and he should be respected.

i will never forget the image of steve irwin talking to the camera while sharks were in a feeding frenzy all around him while he stood in the water...the guy was a crazy kook but he was fascinating, funny and very entertaining...i kind of felt one day his luck would run out the way he took risks dealing with wildlife but i would never have guessed it would take a stingray to be the culprit....my condolences to his friends and family....he was one of a kind and his legacy will continue as his shows run on animal planet

Well he isn't cracked up to being much now since he's a gonna, but he'll be remembered for his conservation efforts and TV shows that's for sure. I don't think we need to know any more than that, really.

Why are all these women, in question after question, regarding this man, and in all honesty whom I had never heard of, wittering on about his family, family, family. You would think he was the only man ever to die with a family. Get real people! Dozens of our soldiers and airmen are dying every week in Iraq, Afghanistan and so on. Many of them have families. Do you cry and wail over them? If you do you must be doing it very softly because I've never seen anything in print to that affect. I absolutely refuse to feel grief for someone I've never heard of and not do so for the men who defend my nation.
