Because
1. We got diverted by an unrelated war in Iraq.
2.Bin Laden is related to Bush's oil cronies in Saudi Arabia.
3. We'll have more fear tactics between now and November.

M-O-N-E-Y!!! Let's face it. First of all, we have satelites that can see a dime from space, there are websites here where you can see your own car windshield from space. Now let's think of this, Bin Laden is 6'5" in a land of short people. We know he does not travel alone, but with a militia of terrorists. Could we see that? YES!!! Next anyone who has ever seen him remembers it, wouldn't you? Next, the Bush's and the Bin Laden's families have been in business for YEARS!!! Particularly the Carlisle Group. Bush LOST the election b4 9/11. Hitler was not immediatly accepted by the Germans. In BOTH cases what do you do? CREATE A COMMON ENEMY!!! Jews, terrorists... whatever. Now, if you want a terrorist, who do you go to? A family assiociate maybe? After that we were supposed to be on Bush's side to go to Arabland and steal as much as possible. Cheney, the VP, coinsidentally was "the man" at Halliburton... now they get a contract to do nearly ALL of the construction there? What about hiring Iraqis to rebuild themselves and make their own money? If more people had jobs there they'd attack less. It's all an under the table deal. We'll stay and not do anything until the money is dry. Bin Laden is widely known to be in Warsistan (northern Pakistan) and today it was announced that Pakistan will let him be a free man if he "lives a peaceful life from now on". Is any of this starting to fit? Pakistan is "our allie", Bush is "our leader", Bin Laden and his boys are "our enemy" yet NOTHING gets done. F&CK BABY KILLER BUSH!!! I watch the news, I live in Minnesota. When I see our boys come home in body bags, and the are up to 8 years younger than me (I am 26), it makes me sick when you realise they die so some f@ggot can be rich for a little while before their own death. Old people killing kids for cash. We'll never ever catch Bin Laden until Republicans are gone from control. Clinton cheated on his wife... Bush is responsible for several several thousand deaths... who's worse?

From the answers received so far I find that aAmericans have a very poor opinion about their government. When USA desperately wanted they did trace out Saddam Hussein despite all the rumours that he was dead(He better had). It is not unlikkely that USA perhaps thinks that a Bin Laden out is more useful than a Bin Laden in.I for one feel that the preventive measures taken by the USA for a reenactment of 9/11 are quite thorough. All this talk of transatlantic flight being bombed in mid-air and the almost interminable time the investigations are going on give a false ring to the entire matter. If at all there is any modicum of truth in them these may be the handiwork of some raw enthusiasts. The Bin Laden's intermittant outbursts of days of kingdom come may be his pious(impious) wishes and USA knows that. But since thee bolster the anti-terrorism struggle USA just ignored them. There are also palpable signs of Iraj settling down and not only Iraj but the entire indidel movement as new generation of Muslim youth comes into its own. From the suspects caught, evenpresuming that they are the plotters, there is an anti-cliamatic feeling that it is to convince themselves about their cause that they are going through these exercise and are not a real threat. The association of recent white converts seen in some placed shows that perhaps at one time bonafide struggle has not become a handmaiden of bravadoes and adventurers and may die down .So Bin Laden 'free' is more helpful than under wrapsl

I think we haven't caught Bin Laden because most of the people in Iran and that part of the world are loyal to his cause and hate the US. Also, the US can't just send an army into Iran or any other country they want to with the excuse of trying to catch Bin Laden. The world is also a very large place in which to hide and there are many sparsely populated areas in Persia where the risk of being discovered would be low.

because it is all a big conspiracy to control the masses. Right up there with the moon landing, the deaths of Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, Princesss Diana and JFK Jr. This is how they do it, they control us all by scaring us and lying to us. Oh maybe Bin Laden in made up- like the Moon landing. They are just using a made up character so that they don't have to say what really happened.
I can't believe that you would ask that question. Like anybody on here knows the answer. And the people who do really know, because they are privy to the intelligence, should not be on here telling it anyway. It is like this- he is just really good at hiding from us, one day we WILL catch him, and when we do, I hope they shoot him on the spot, so that we will be spared a joke of a trial like Saddam Hussien.
STOP LISTENING TO THE MEDIA AND HOLLYWOOD and start getting the real facts.

Because this administration knows that even if Bin Laden is found, tried & sentenced it will not make a bit of difference in the fight again terrorism.
If Bush was "dethroned" tomorrow there's somebody else to slid into his place with his agenda and carry-on without missing a beat.

On September 12th, 2001... The ONLY Flight in the Air (other than military craft) was one which was taking ALL on Bin Laden's Family/Relatives out of the United States. Now, don't You find that Odd of a Nation that claims to want Him So Badly? If You Really want to find him, try looking in the Basement of the White House, since I find they like to pull him out whenever they need to strike more fear into American Citizens.

I think he is probably dead from rectal infection due to lack of toilet facilities and lacerations caused by using leaves and pointed stones as toilet paper.
He was probably killed during our carpet bombing of Tora Bora.
You can dress up any damn Afghan dood to look like Osama or any of the other bearded ant holes and give them a voice.
I think Osama the Saudi Baastaard is dead, deceased, passed on, no more relevant .
Osama and Al-Qaieeda are now fictional names with no muscle power like Army, Air-craft Carriers or Stealth Bombers that kick auss in silence.
.
Also how come we have not seen a live movie of Osama or his other mad courtiers.
We see there tapes on T.V to reinforce the fear and the budget allocation for homeland Security and the Armed forces
