Yes, if you know how to read the file header, you can use that information, go to a website that tracks header information, and you can narrow it down to what city the email came from.

Do a right click on the message and go to View Source in there you will be able to see what Internet Service Provider the email came threw with this information there are ways to track an email source. There is a Whois source you input the ip address seen in view source properties.

Hi
Try this, right click on the email, click properties then details. Scroll down and somewhere there in small print is the email address. May not be a true address. I have done this and it works fine

If you take the time and effort to back track the headers all the way to the first faked address, you might be able to find out what ISP they're using.
