Webcams are cheap. Logitech has a 20.00USD version. I've seen cheaper. There are also, of course, more expensive ones. All have the required software. I suppose the major difference is in the resolution, but unless you want to count the atoms on the point of a pin the inexpensive ones will do just fine.

I would try WalMart or one of the other larger chain stores, you can usually pick up a realatively cheap one, that works great. I think I paid something like $25 for mine 2 years ago at WalMart

It all depends, How old, the mark of webcam. Ift's to cheap, sounds tood good. Something might be wrong with it!!!

idk if its in your area, but maybe put a "want" in freecycle (www.freecycle.org) people tend to get what they need/want on there often.
