I suppose failure would be never learning from one's mistakes.

Failure is the opposite of success. Not having achieved a goal. Not succeeding in helping another out, not succeeding in making another feel better or happy. Not having made it in time for a loved one. An F, or more specifically an F- (if possible). How 'bout a G just to distinguish my point. Anyway, failure is all of these things, but it is also not entirely bad. You learn from your mistakes and learn more about the problem and about more possibilities, but you could never learn about these if you had succeeded right off the bat. Sometimes failing can be just as beneficial as succeeding. Also, the ability to rise up after being defeated is far more admirable than being undefeatable.

The American Heritage Dictionary:
failure (n.) The condition or fact of not achieving the desired end or ends.

Not everyone sees failure as that. Some people that fail something great feel as though they messed up on the most important thing in the world. Others may feel that hey, they messed up this time, but not next time. No matter what. Everyone has their own definition depending on how ignorant or naive they are. The person who put that definition in the dictionary felt it meant not achieving something.

Failure is the time when you stopped trying.

failure is when someone doesn't try to do anything at all to change their circumstances for the better, lack of interest in their own dreams and not having the motivation to pursue anything

we can all try at something and fail at it, but the thing is we learn from it and grow from it and move on and find a way to finally meet with sucess... the ones who become failures just totally wallow in their own self pity and give up saying "i can't"

Hi..
Failure, is trying to do things others have not considered... It is a temporary byproduct of creativity... It is challenging the learning process... It is experiential education at work.... The real winners in life, tolerate failure and the agony it produces.... Success is achieved by those who are "willing".. to take risk and lose....

Thanks, for the question!;)

My regards!

Failure is when something you try to do does not meet your expectations for the results. It is an opportunity to learn something important and try again.
