Not much point asking the so called chelsea fans the answer.
Most of them have only been supporting them a couple of years since they have been doing OK.
The plastic fans will move on to someone else soon.
As for the answer i hav`nt a clue as i cant stand chelsea.

Don't know the answer to your question but I saw Alan Mayes play many times for Watford. He was a fantastic player and his reading of the game was way above most of the players around him. I think it would have been somewhere in the early/mid seventies when he was on Chelsea's books but I don't know the exact year.

Having thought about this a bit more I remember he was at Chelsea after being at Watford so it would have been in the early 1980's. Still can't tell you the exact year though
