i know the answers are 2 and 0, but i was trying to figure out how they got it.

Subtract the 2X from both sides
Factor out the X
Solve the two equations: x=0 and x=2

Try a table of value... 3 columns: 1st column "x=", 2nd column "x²=", and 3rd column "2x=".

write #'s 0,1,2,3,4, and 5 in the first column w/0 at the top, 1 next, and so on.
write the appropriate values in the other 2 columns.
Place a checkmark next to the values of x that are the same in both 2nd and 3rd columns. Notice the values are getting farther apart as the value of x increases...

the answer is 2........2 squared is 4 and 2 x 2 is 4!
