it also depends on her age.
preteens-stuffed animals
teens-night out
or a surprise party for any homecoming person.

a corsage is always a nice gesture (I personally would not recommend a red rose, unless you REALLY like her)

perhaps a flower color to match her dress or your tuxedo(or suit)
