Here is a George B. Grinnell. He was an anthropologist.
I checked under Winston, Gwenson and Wenson and the closest thing I can find related to anthropology is George Grinnell.
He was an interesting character. He served under Custer on his expedition into the Balck Hills in 1874. Note: the 'Last Stand' was in 1876.
