I'm engaged to a girl that has only 2 names. She will change her current last name to her middle name when we get married. How does that work. Thanks

The reason she is changing her last to her middle is because her last name is of course a part of her culture and she wants to keep that. She will be taking my last name though.

Changing names don't come that easy.. There are legal barriers to it. Of course it depends on where you are, what country you belong.. But still I believe that anywhere, changing names, specially surnames, lastnames don't come that easy.
And why should she change her last name to her middle name. Is there a barrier,, is she married to another..
You can be in trouble..
Maybe not now.. but in the future.. be she married or not.
Be carefuly,, think about it.

She can place whatever name she wants on the Marriage certificate and when she gets her green card, whatever name she places on her certificate will be her official name.
