For Italian - Sostanza in Madison Park or Serafina in Eastlake
Wonderful small place in Belltown called Marjorie http://trenchtownrocks.com
In Ballard, Ray's Boathouse has great sunset views and has the best seafood in Seattle - Ray's is probably the most romantic - my hubby took me there for our anniversary last year. Be sure to go to the restaurant and not the cafe. http://www.rays.com

I like The Fishermans Restaurant at the Bay Pavillion. If the weather is nice, you can sit outside and watch the boats and ferries on Elliot Bay. Too, if you have a fun side, there's a carousel, an arcade and a great Pirate shop in the pavillion.

Otherwise, nothing beats the restaurant at the Space Needle, Sky City. It's spendy, but the restaurant actually spins 360 degrees every hour, so you can see the whole city from the comfort of your table. Plus, I think the International Fountain at Seattle Center is one of the most romantic places to kiss...if you go in the evening, when there aren't children around. ;)

For a very special occaision I would recommend Chez Shea. It has wonderful food with a very intimate and beautiful setting. It's located by the Pike Place Market which makes for a great place to stroll before or after dinner depending on the time. For dessert try the Tiramisu it's to die for!

Canlis, but call them as soon as possible there is always a wait to eat there. Sometimes up to a month. There is also Ivars for Seafood on the Water Front or The Brooklyn or Metropolitan Grill. Or the spaceneedle. Canlis though is the best.

Either Canlis near the Aurora Bridge or Rovers on East Madison. Reservations required at either place.
