We have no way of knowing what there "is" outside of the space/time in which we live. That is the universe, and we cannot conceive, perceive anything outside it. It might be one of many universes, and might well be a speck on the "multiverse". But all we can do is imagine it. This means it can go as far as you want it to, in your head.
The universe is not infinite, though it is expanding, and may continue expanding infinitely. On the other hand it might not. We just don't know.

Contrary to popular opinion, the universe is not
infinite.
The Universe is energy that travels in circles.
If you were to start at any point in the universe,
and travel in any direction, you would wind up back
where you started from.
Everything outside the Universe is black hole
energy, which is energy under the speed of
dimension. This stage of energy has no time
or space.
Think of space as loose pillow feathers.
You switch on a fan and the feathers fill
the room.
You turn off the fan, and the feathers collapse
back to the floor.
Space is inert energy stimulated by active
energy.
Tomorrow is the only real frontier.

The trouble with a spherical universe is that infinity is really hard to grasp.
But the short answer is father than even light has traveled in 20 billion years. Which is roughly 300,000,000 m/s or 186,000 Miles per second. So if that doesnt get you towards infinity. Multiply by itself and you will start to picture how far that is and you still havent started the trip because there is no end...

What you are describing was described over a thousand years ago in Islam. There is said to be seven heavens, each heaven compared to the next is like a ring in the desert.
Its amazing how accurate the Quran can be in describing cosmological features which at the time were impossible to have been known.
