I think it depends more on the person. I saw an interview with Christina Ricci after Sleepy Hallow. I'm not sure if she had nightmares, but she stated several times how scary it got around there mainly due to Christopher Walken and his intensity. I bet she didn't sleep well a couple of nights while Chris chuckled himself to sleep most nights. I know I would have :D

Well, if you think about the moviemaking process in general, I think you would see that they probably don't.

- There are multiple takes of each scene, so it would be nearly impossible to get that scared every time
- They are actors, who are paid to pretend - they don't really believe what is going on
- They saw what the special effects people did to make the fake blood, or saw the guy crawl into the Godzilla suit, so they know it's not real

So, basically, it would be much easier for them to separate the fiction/fantasy from the "reality" on the screen.

I wouldn't think so, since the actors know that it isn't real and it's just a film. If the movie was based on an actual events, then they probably would. I get nightmares if I watch Freddy Krueger movies.

I think I would, depending on the movie...especially if I were a kid...like the kid from The Omen or Poltergeist...or any other horror movie with a kid in it!
