I don't think that they will ever show that piece of film, John Station his friend and producer said that the film should be destroyed after the police have finished with it.

But I suppose its Terri's choice if it is ever shown or not

If it is true that this is what he wanted, then by all means televise it. It's not like people have not seen someone die on television before (how many times have you seen the J.F.K clip?).
But speaking from a personal point of view, I don't think it will be on my television, purely because of my kids. The older one especially waas devastated when he heard about Steve Irwins passing, and I don't think that letting him watch it actually happen is going to make him feel any better.

Televising a tape of a man's death is rather disgraceful. Why would the family want to turn the last minutes of their loved one's life into some kind of media freak show? I guess people are bored with the fake deaths they constantly see in movies so now they want to see the real thing. It's pathetic.

Well if it's true (and as I only read it in Daily Star in UK so it must be lol) then as long as it goes out after the watershed, and announcers warn viewers it will probably attract the biggest worldwide audience for a nature programme (cos people are naturally sick!) It wouldn't bother me to watch it, although like MarkEverest says at the end of the day its down to Terri, his wife, and how she feels I can't imagine. My condolences to Terri, Bindi & Bob.

This isn't some film where Steve got up and walked away when the cameras stopped rolling, the guy died, why would you want to see someone breathing their last breathe, if it was your dad, son, brother would you want people watching such a thing for their entertainment..No I don't think so..

I would hope that we as a people would find anything like watching the death of someone or their loved ones entertaining.....We have seen so much death since 9-11... when will this blood thirsty country have enough.......All we know is that he did pass away.......why can't we just come to the knowledge that life can be over just like that!!!!!!!! And begin to find peace within and with one another.......What a sick people that would watch no matter what his wish.....I would hope that Mr. Irwins family does not use his passing to do such a thing.......What would it gain..........?

His wife was always involved in all his wildlife projects so I am sure that if he had said that he wanted it televised that she will comply with his wishes. the only problem might be getting the network to air it. After all, watching someone dying in front of you is not pleasant.

depending on what it looks like it might toally freak people out in which case, no, they will not show it on tv, dying wish or not. Maybe to a select group of people or a less grafic reinactment but never the real thing.

As we all try to respect our loved ones with their last requests I would think that Steve's family would do the same.
I think I would want to watch it even though it's not very nice to watch someone die is it?

I think the press said they were going to, like as a warning or something.

A very sad event.
