I hear so many arguments today, such as the subject of equality and equal rights for women and men.
my stance is that equality is a myth, their is no equality in the natural world, women are not equal to men because they have all the responsibilities of child bearing, and men do not have to carry this burden.I think women are pressured to succeed in careers and made to feel guilty for staying home and being a housewife, which is their God given right to do.Now Men are becoming like women and staying home with the kids while the wife brings home the income,I feel its shameful, and disgusting.Im tired of all this BS...its time to go back to our anti-feminist foundations.

now many may argue that a woman should have the equal rights for a career as a man,yes I agree, but on the other side of the spectrum women have their rights to choose to be a housewife and live the traditional role of womanhood right out from under them by society, and men who no longer want to take responsibility..that too is a violation of rights!

And what about the rights of a woman to be treated as a woman and not a man,the feminists have just about done away with womanhood all-together,I resent having the right to be a lady treated gently by gentlemen an absolute rights violation.

Right on, because of feminism, WE HAVE TO GET A JOB in the 60's the family has gone down the drain. This liberated crap can be blamed for our youths having no guidance or structure, for the obese youth, for the insolent child, etc etc. As long as women were doing their job with the family things, and they were doing it well and happily( I was one of them) the kids ate properly, had supervision and the husbands had jobs. Then the feminists need to be better, they need to get those jobs. I am not saying that women shouldn't have the opportunity to work, in a lot of instances they had too and then they should get equal pay, however we have so many unemployed men, because women need to prove themselves and take their jobs.
It did destroy the "Family Unit"
Sorry that I rattled on like that.

UGGH Why is it that anyone who hates feminism thinks women who work hate stay at home moms? Or that all working women are feminists and going against their roots? Come on. Thats the real bs. I like being a woman and when I marry my husband will be the head of the hosuehold (an idea that is heald by Christians by the way, and not everyone is a Christian) and I really want to be a mother... but I'm also realsitic. In case you haven't paralled today's society to the one you speak of from 50 years ago, cost of living is high, people marry later, women do not stay with their parents until marriage and thus MUST get their income from somewhere. Where do you expect a 20 year old girl to get money from? An invisible man? Or should she be hard pressing her boyfriend or parents for some gas and car payments? What do you expect a woman to do if her husband leaves her and she has no job training and no way to take care of her children?
Jobs dont even pay as much anymore. How does anyone know they can support an entire family on one income?? Are you being realistic or idealistic??
Men ARE NOT becoming like women. More men work than women. Men still have their masculinity. And a man cleaning the house is sexy, not womanish. Women DO want to stay at home with their kids.
If you don't like working women then do something about the economy so women can have MORE than a 2 month leave to take care of a newborn baby!! Why dont you do sometihng so we can be like the past? O hw ait you can't because that would be just impossible. We live in a capitalist society and the more the workforce, the more money is churned out. Don't forget living these days is all about making money and having to pay more than you can bear!
How do you expect us to reverse the cost of living? If you can support a wife who wants to stay at home, good for you and for her. But don't knock the rest of us who have to work and go to school to stay alive in this world.
To david- Do you even know what you are talking about? Do you listen to yourself? A woman who complains about getting a nasty comment is being unfair because if the man gets repimanded that is not equal treatment? I guess most men think that commenting a woman on her breasts is flattering, but it's not unless it's coming from your boyfriend. It's something you would never understand beccause yes, men do think differently than women in that way. How could that be unfair? Isnt it just polite? Making sexual comments should be allowed? I think if a man was approached by a male colleage who wanted to squeeze his penis he would very well feel obliged to file a complaint. That example is nto about equal treatment. It's about what is appropriate for a work place.
Most women just want to be paid equally for doing the same job as a man. That's all they want. It's not about becoming men or wanting to take masculinity away and neglecting motherhood. It's just doing the right thing.

I am glad you added that you support women's right to choose a career. I think you're right about the brainwashing to think that being a Mother is shameful. But are Feminists demanding that women be drafted for combat too? An M16 doesn't kick too hard...
Leftists follow a process of breaking down loyalties within a society so they can be replaced by Government programs and oversight. Loyalty to a spouse, to one's children, to parents, to God, the Church, etc. must all be torn down so that politically correct institutions can take over management of all such relations.
In Communist China, it was so bad that couples getting married had a picture of Chairman Mao presiding and state political officials ran the wedding.
Hitler's propagandist (he ran the Socialist Workers Party) boasted that Der Fuhrer was successfully driving wedges between the people and their religious leaders so that he could assume total control over their beliefs.
What you are noticing is the standard Leftist practice of tearing down a society so they can build it back up under their control.

You must be from the 50's to even have that sort of a silly way of thinking. Of course women should have equal rights, we are forced to sometimes take the place of a "man" with half the prison population (black & white) in prison. If you take a good look how things are, women are being force to step up, when these so-called men won't. I am a woman who have ABSOULTLEY no interest in being anyone's housewife. I think the role of a man is useless and I am strong enough to take care of myself and my children. Men is only good for one thing, and thinking is certainly not their strong suit. And P.S. NO I AM NOT A LESIBAN.

There is equality in nature. Men and women have different roles, yet they're equal. Compare them with the weights and material balanced in either pans of a common balance. What the feminists are trying to do is to create a new generation of mentally transgendered men and women. And we've to stop this change.

Right on I agree with you. women will never be men and personaly I love being a wife, mother and grandmother.women today want to have thier cake and eat it too. well our children are suffering .I feel the feminist ought to shut the hell up. after all they don't speak for all of us women.that being said I still think women should get to vote because we live in this country and should have a say in what happens . but whats wrong with a woman and man getting married and the man being the head of his household like it used to be.women take better care of the children and should be at home while her children are to young to go to school. if a women wants a job she shouldn't have kids. or should wait untill they are in school.

The idea of feminism is to this day a double standard theory. The only proof to this statement is this: If a woman truly wants to be treated with the same atitude as a man (or as an "average" person) than she should be subjected to the same treatment without complaining of discomfort. Example: When the staff at the local hardware store have their lunch break a man would most likely start conversation on his reaction to a certain woman's body parts. For instance: "I saw this one blonde yesterday and her breasts were so damn big, I just wanted to sqeeze them". Upon hearing this the woman would become uncomfortable and most likely file a complaint about how the man was being "inconsiderate of her sexuality, and exploiting his perverted point of view". She would not want to be treated equal in this case. Example 2: If an unnatractive man attempted to do favors or help a woman because he found her attractive, she would complain about men "making her uncomfortable and treating her differently because of her gender". But if a manthat she found attractive did the same thing she would find it to be flattering. In other words: Women wish to be treated equally by men that they find unnattractive, but would like to be treated as a female by men that they find attractive. Its a double standard, because women wish to be given equal or better rights then men, but do not wish to be subjected to the same type of negative attention as men.

I am woman, hear me roar.
The sexes are NOT equal.
While women have the burden of bearing children and are often saddled with raising those they bear (if not others, as well), and the weakness the menstrual cycle and childbearing brings on has allowed women to be suppressed throughout much of time(though let's see a man strong enough to go through labor!), it does allow women a certain power which may, someday, be brought into play.
More and more women are choosing not to marry, to simply have a child with a random stranger or be artificially inseminated. In the future, they may bear their own clones rather than be saddled with a man. In short, women may one day push men out of power or even from existence, if the need seems to arise.
This is not likely to happen, of course, in society as a whole. Women look forward to bearing sons and enjoy time with their husbands, but I do expect to see fringe groups bearing children in the ways I have mentioned. So don't think "poor women" and moan about equality-- women are the real superiors in the end!
Oh, and about the answer about a woman buying a man a ring... should I ever find a man I could live with (in other words, one who loves me and is loved in return), I would suggest we buy rings for one another and propose together. Not quite as romantic, perhaps, but practical and with a greater air of equality.
I feel the need to add this: at one time, the world was devoted to Goddess worship, now considered a pagan belief (and since the advent of Christianity). This was squashed by the men of society, fearing women's dominance. It was replaced with worship of a male God and of Christ. You will notice, though, that there is a lot of emphasis by many on the Virgin Mary, which is what Goddess worship became. In some societies, she seems to be more revered than Christ himself. For centuries, thogh, men have pushed worship of Christ and a male God. Frankly, I believe God is neither male or fermale, but a simple conscious force, the force, of the universe-- and I'm not talking Star Wars mumbo-jumbo, but the idea obviously started from God. I don't believe men or women are superior in God's view, but made different yet equal. Still; women have been held back and put down too long by the forced belief of the superior male. I say the next wave of the feminist move is about ready to begin!

first of all, when feminists say that they want to treated equally, theyre just saying that they want to be treated the same as men.think about it. this dispels the whole idea of equality between the sexes because the feminists themselves think that being treated as a woman (being supposedly weaker yada yada yada), is unpreferable to being treated as a man. feminists want to be treated like men, so does that mean that they think that there is something wrong with the idea of being a full fledged woman?if all men and women in the world were being treated equally, in the view of a feminist, all people would be treated as men and not women. no distinction would exist. and you cant blame society for stereotyping women. because realistically, most women, WANT to be treated as women. feminists are the minority, and if they think that they can get the best of both wolrds, being treated as a man and woman, theyve got another thing coming to them.where does that put men, who are left with the stereotype of being tough, macho, and all that jazz? to put it simply.i think feminism is supported by women who are insecure about their power as a woman.they might be lesbians too.who knows
