No. Glasses only show proof of a certain vision disability, not intelligence. It is cemented in our minds, that glasses can make someone look smart, only because the time most likely to wear glasses, is when reading a book. It simply means that they can't see, not that they are actually learning anything that they may be reading, even though we let our minds convince us differently.

There have been studies on this subject and they have found that people with myopia (nearsightedness) are slightly more analytical, on average, than those persons with 20/20 or hyperopia (farsightedness). Americans generally stereotype the analytical fields, such as science and math, to be "smarter" fields than the more liberal fields like English or history. There are a million types of intelligence, but there is some truth to the "smart people wearing glasses" idea if you believe that American stereotype.

In 10 years, though, lasik surgery will make the "smart" people hard to identify.

my husband wears glasses and he is very smart, but my dad wears glasses and he's the dumbest jack *** on the plant. Go fig-er

no, cuz you could get glasses from watching too much Viva La Bam and that certainly does not help your intelligence. its like saying, are people with long hair hot?
