Maria Yuryevna Sharapova is a former World No. 1 professional tennis player and the world's highest-paid female athlete. Her parents are originally from Gomel, Belarus, and moved to Siberia, Russia in 1986, after the Chernobyl nuclear accident. Sharapova was born in Nyagan, Russia, the following year. She now lives in the United States, but keeps her Russian citizenship.

One person got it. She's closer to 6'3" tall. She is officially listed at 6'2", but people close to the game say she is taller. She is taller than Davenport and Venus Williams who are 6'2" and 6'1" tall, respectively.
Sharapova has grown an inch or so in the last 18 months to 2 yrs.
