I am not late yet, but I took an EPT Pregnancy test since I am supposed to start anytime soon. I followed the instructions, and it said that in the round box, there'd be a pregnant or not pregnant sign, and in the square box there'd be a line showing you'd done the test right. I came out negative, but the square line didn't show up. How accurate is that reading without the line in the circle thingie?

If the other line was missing (the one that shows if the test has worked) then you need to do another test as that one didnt work and you cannot rely on those results!

I have found threw personal experience, that the EPT test that gives you a digital read out-actual words pregnant or not pregnant- are unreliable. I once took 4 of the digital tests and all came out inconclusive, no line in the control box. Try getting a first response test, they seem to be the most accurate.

I took EPT and they told me negative, when I indeed was pregnant. Consumer reports show that First Response's Early Result Pregnancy test is the best. I tried this test the second time I got pregnant, one week BEFORE my missed period and it was positive. You need to look for that second line, mine you could barely see but I saw it. Good Luck!

if there are two lines you're pregnant. Even if the one is very faint. If you havent missed your period yet it could be a false negative because the hormone levels havent gotten high enough for an EPT home test to detect. Wait a week or two and test again.

Sounds like you are missing the line for the test that shows it is working. I would re-test and make sure you leave the stick in the urine for 5 seconds only (most common time frame). or time alloted. If it helps urinate into a clean disposable cup and dip your stick into the urine. Good luck

If the control line is there the test didn't work, thats why they put it there!! Wait a few days then take another test! GOOD LUCK!!!
