I almost feel like I lost a friend. I would watch his show with my children almost every day. He had such a passion for animals and he showed so much enthusiasm whether he was talking about something cuddly like a koala or something as dangerous as a crocodile. Before Steve, I never saw the beauty in crocs, but when he described their courtship and the mother's care of the young it was impossible to think of crocs as the cold-blooded killers that I had learned about as a child. I will miss him and I am praying for his family.

Yes, it's a huge loss to his family and the animal world. Steve was the animals' #1 supporter. I hope someone caring and loving will look after the animals, but no one can take Steve's place.

I am sad. I loved his show too but he did get a sting ray barb through the heart. If he would have left it in he might have possibly made it and had it surgically removed but when you pull those barbs out they just tear holes in everything.

i for my section in no way watched his shows yet i became so unhappy for days. I enjoyed his zest for existence and his enthusiasm for his artwork. i've got faith so undesirable for his spouse and daughters. i understand what it rather is prefer to lose a determine as a newborn and it fairly is dreadfully unhappy. yet whilst he had to die so youthful, a minimum of he died doing what he enjoyed rather of a automobile crash or some thing like that.

Yes. After all these years, it seemed like he was invincible, so what a shock. My heart goes out to his wife and children. I can't even begin to imagine what they are going through.

I was devastated. I loved his show, his excitement of life and this planet and all it's inhabitants. He made me see animals with more respect and understanding. After all they were here before us... and all life is beautiful.....He showed it with his family as well.
