Don't betray your best friend. The same thing happened to me but it was more important to keep my relationship with my best friend than to be with that person.

Either let them go out because u don't want to wreck their relationship jsut because u like him..they were goin out first and if they break up...maybe u'll have a chance or just tell him and let him/her decide. GOOD LUCK!

you should probably talk to your best friend if you haven't already, she would probably understand if you talked to her. if she really likes him and it lasts a while maybe they were meant to be, but i'm not saying you shouldn't talk to her if they last long
