Why do they try to the get the most they can out of everyone? Like this guy I rear-ended at a stop light and hit very lightly, causing only a minor bumb in his bumper (I was not going at any velocity, obviously), I realized just wanted straight cash without even showing us the bill (he probably just wanted the money). He knew that my mother has a very low-income job and my father is terminally ill and at the hospital, and I'm not working yet to top it all off. He said he was doing us a favor charging us more than half a grand instead of charging us double that price. God, I know I'm being perhaps judgemental but does it matter that he was middle eastern? I dunno. I just can't get it out my head. I don't know a lot of middle eastern people, but he gave me a bad impression of them. Very high tempered and insolent.
Also, I dislike people who try to get off paying their bill at a restaurant by eating most of the meal, putting a hair in it, or making up some other lame excuse for a refund

We didn't complain about the price. We said we were gonna pay him but he didn't want to sign a paper that said he would seek no further damages. What, so he could rip us off of more money? How much does it cost to fix a nearly invisble dent in the bumper of a car? Really?

You know, I thought the guy was honest and that's why we were gonna sort it out without getting the insurance companies involved. Turns out, paying the insurance company would have been a lot better than ever dealing with that guy. Believe me.

That is why people have car insurance to deal with issues like that - why didn't you just let your insurance company deal with the issue?

Wow, I can understand where your coming from. One time a taxi cab driver of middle eastern decent hit my car and took off. When I found him, and had witness to him hitting my car and driving away and the time it took to get it fixed etc, he had the nerve to be high strung Geez! Needless to say, I'm not sure if it's dishonesty, or if you should call his bluff in this case. What would happen if he reported it his insurance company? He would have to pay the first $500, he should have under-insured or non insured motorist in his policy. Ask him these questions, if he's gets high tempered, tell him "if your not going to talk to me like an adult, then we cant talk" I had an minor accident once and I think they guy forgot to turn his headlights on and he hit me from the side. He was upset, but I would not talk to him unless he calmed down. The police came and told us to go our separate ways because neither of us had insurance.

Refuse to be stepped on, make sure your don't waiver in your faith what ever that is. Stay strong, this too shall pass, because this guy can't get blood from a turnip.

Its not you its the greedy insurance companies that they are trying to get back at for charging such crazy premiums but in the end they still win because evry frivolous accident just raises their rates even more. I dont think that you should punish all middle easterners by the ways of a few. I am not a racist but I have been pissed off by someone of evry race, even my own at one time or another but I try not to generalize. One of those very same people may end up saving your life one day.

You and I feel just the same, and the answer that I found was in the bible, and it said that in the last days people would be acting this way. I find that the older I get the worst people act and the less they care about one another. But take couage good news is on the way.

Paying him without getting something in writing is foolish. At this point, because the insurance companies weren't called on either side; I don't think you HAVE to pay him anything. I'd tell him to stick it in his ear and if he wanted anything, he could call his insurance company.

Not all people are like that. I am not and people often are straight out confused as to why I don't take everyone for everything I can get. Hang in there. The reward is real, not in your head. Don't let them bring you down.

flip him off. I wouldn't pay him a dime. Get a really big dude to offer to rearrange his face if he doesn't leave you alone. If there was no police report, he can't collect. Tell him to go jump
