How do you deal with cruelty?

I saw a man on the bus acting strange in the presence of his little daughter, I sort of sensed something wasn't all right in their relationship and I wanted to talk to the guy but even if something sad and bad was happening there, how would I prove it? Today, I saw a guy kick his dog and when I threatened to call the police he wanted to hit me and I am a girl!! What do you do when you see such terrible things happen and you're alone and no one would stand up for the kid or the animal? These kind od situations really p*** me off because I love everything that's innocent & needs protection. And other people are so selfish, they don't see what's going on because they don't want to.

I'm not from the States

you cant just call the cops and they would never arrive on time!

Europe is nothing like the States except Scandinavian countries. here, animal shelters are close to non-existent and no one really cares. the same goes for children, unfortunately. the social workers are not doing their job right and neither is the law. at least, in USA, everything is strict!

you call police without warning the offender.. or better yet -- videotape it for evidence

That's the sad part about it all is everyone wants to help but no one is there to back you up. What's worse is by the time you do call the police, the person is already gone by the time the police get there, IF they even show up. The only thing best for you when you are alone, and it's sad, but you have to walk away. I mean what can you do? You can say something to the person but why risk getting hurt or even killed? What's more important, a dogs life or yours? As far as the daughter thing is goes, you don't know what's going on, you're only guessing. You may end up causing something you may regret. I know it sucks how things are in this world but you still have to look out for number one and two and that's YOU and YOUR FAMILY. Just don't lose faith, things will change soon when we least expect it. :)

You must have a tender and compassionate heart. Because you're not from the States, let me tell you. First of all, you could report the guy for child abuse to the Dept of child and welfare services. Doctors and nurses in the hospitals are required by law,to report such abuse upon the child's admission to the hospital. Whether it's for physical or sex abuse. But you gotta have solid evidence. Otherwise, you could destroy that guy's reputation if the charges are not true.

For the dog, you could report that guy for cruelty to animals to animal shelter. and PETA. So, next time you witness such cruelty, threaten the violator to such action if he doesn't stop. There's also a good samaritan law. This allows you to help in public and protect you from any possible lawsuits steming from your act of generosity. Calling the cops, help although like you said they take a long ti me. But if you said, that the crime is in progress right now. They might consider it as an emergency and the response time is much better than for non -emergency matters.

Unfortunately, people who are cruel to other people/animals will be cruel to those who confront them. You can surmise what may have been happening between the father and daughter, but without proof they will never press charges. You can tell someone not to kick their dog, but they'll do it when you're not around. It's the way the world is. You have to understand that you cannot protect everyone and everything. Try to make people aware of situations. If you know somebody who knows the family, ask them to keep an eye on things. Make a difference where you can, and just hope that someone out there is doing the same for those things you yourself cannot change.

Its not that they dont want to or that they cant its just they dont want too. Sometimes people take everything we have for granted and dont realize it until the end. I agree with you one hundred percent that all of this is wrong, everything. We were based on a government though that used to cut off people heads if they committed a criminal offense. There has always been cruelty around and theres nothing anyone can do about it. You cant do anything more than keep those like you mentioned above in your prayers really. What the hardest thing to do is though, is too learn to block this out. Shed your tears but shed them on the inside this is a world that preys on the weak.

Well there isn't much you can do exept have something with you incase of an attack bacause the person decides to be an ***. Always stand your ground and if you want start a group or organization, its really not hard and people are always willing to listen if there is a cause. Also if you are really up for it become a cop, that is something I am concidering to do all I can do to protect people too.

Yes, I agree with you that anything innocent should be protected and since you are alone (in this case) and don't have enough strength you will have trouble doing it.

I'd tell you to call police or ask them in a very gentle way not to do that and if you saw them REALLY angry don't even get close to them because when one is angry they don't understand what they're doing...you get me?

How do you manage cruelty? Cruelty is Evil. God deals with Evil HEAVELLY. IT sounds prefer to ME THAT HE needs YOU TO DO something like the HOLY SPIRIT became TELLING YOU TO DO something OR SAY something TO the guy TO GET HIM to alter HIS ideas AND return TO GOD WHOM is sweet AND LOVE. HE perchance CALLING YOU INTO regulation ENFORCEMENT AS A WITTNESS FOR HIM. on the instant, I observed a guy kick his dogs and as quickly as I threatened to call the police he wanted to hit me and that i'm a woman!! What do you do once you spot such adverse issues take place and you're on my own and no person might upward thrust up for the youngster or the animal? those sort od situations rather p*** me off because of the fact i admire each and every thing it incredibly is harmless & desires risk-free practices. YOU upward thrust up besides AND while you're PERSECUTED FOR good THEN WELCOME IT FOR GOD SEE THIS THAN WILL TAKE IT under consideration AND PLAECE IT contained in the e book OF existence AND REMEMBERENCE as long as you have faith IN JESUSE AND WHAT HE DID. and different all and sundry is so egocentric, they do no longer see what's occurring because of the fact they do no longer prefer to. IF GOD IS REVELING those issues TO then you definitely he's needing YOU to stand as much as those human beings AND BE on the FOREFRON IN DEFENCE FOR THE INOCIOENT. believe in God. he's on top of issues and he's barely letting evil exist for a quick time to coach to guy that he's not any longer as clever as he thinks.

i was on my meal break one night and i saw a man being very ruff with his dog. he was yelling calling her stupid, yanking her collar till she made noises with her throat, kicking her. he was getting mad at her for not doing what he wanted, but she was scared because he was behaving so crazy. i tried not to look (i was still in uniform) my window was down in my truck, i tried "to mind my own business" hoping he would settle down. two seconds later he kicked her really hard. before i realized it i yelled stop!! he turned to me and said "lady you need to shut up and mind you own business" then he kicked her again, and again while he looked at me. that was it! i yelled in front of all the people in the parking lot! i said DO YOU HAVE A SMALL DICK? WHY ELSE WOULD A PERSON KICK AN ANIMAL ON THE END OF A ROPE WHEN THEY CAN'T GET AWAY FROM YOU OR DEFEND THEMSELVES? YOU NEED TO STOP COMPENSATING FOR YOUR LACK OF MANHOOD AND INABILITY TO SATISFY A WOMAN! he couldn't believe i said what i said about his "size" (neither could i) and he was so dumbfounded that he dropped the leash. the dog ran away!!! yeah for her b/c he was on foot and couldn't catch her. i don't know what happened to her, but i hope she found a good home.

You have to act so you have a good conscience...then you wont feel guilty for your inaction. Embarassing the perpertrator is the best way to stop this cruely. Women have an advantage over men in this area.
