err..because Mugabe has completely ruined the country; inflation running out of control, white farms being seized and farmers murdered, gagging orders on the media, a reign of terror over the populous. The reason why British politicians hate Zimbabwe so much is because it used to be a British colony, and used to be the flagship country for Africa in terms of economy, development and democracy, now it is a sick joke.

I don't think British politicians care that much for Zimbabwe one way or the other. If they did they would stop that evil murderer Mugabe from destroying it. This man is not worth the dirt he walks on. He however has nothing America or Britain wants so he can do whatever he likes. I hope he is dead very soon and the rest of the world helps the people left in Zimbabwe.

As a Brit, may I say we as a nation do not hate Zimbabwe. Our politicians don't like Mugabe much because he has destroyed the wealth of the country. Quite rightly his government has taken land from white settlers but instead of giving it back to the people it was taken from, he has distributed it to his cronies. He had no respect for the independent judiciary in Zimbabwe. He refuses to allow a free press, he does not brook any political opposition to his regime, he cleared hundreds of people out of their homes because he said they were slums and then provided no alternative accommodation when they watched as he had their homes bulldozed, he has presided over a huge drain of Zimbabwean people to South Africa, he has reduced the population almost to the state of famine in the past while he lives well, he has secreted vast sums of money taken from Zimbabwe and deposited it in bank accounts in Switzerland while his people are destitute and he blames all this on British Colonialism when Zimbabwe has been independent since April 1980 under his rule for 26 years. Mugabe has systematically destroyed the economic wealth of Zimbabwe and left his people in penury while he has imposed a dictatorship and has a life of wealth and luxury. That is what British politicians, and any other democratically elected politician from any other country hate so much. The abuse of power by this individual to the detriment of a fabulous people and a great country.

Mugabe has not only destroyed his country, he has destroyed his people. Unless you are a member of the ruling party you count for nothing, and that means poverty, starvation and possibly death. Zimbabwe was once known as the "Breadbasket of Africa", now with inflation running at over 1000%, what hope do the poor have. It's not a case of British politicians hating Zimbabwe it's a case of right-minded people hating what's happening to its people.

They hate it because they gave up control of the country back to the blacks. Before it was Zimbabwe, it was Rhodesia under British rule. But Mugabe is a very selfish dictator, that's why the Brit politicians dislike him as well as it's own people.

Robert Mugabe, he really has to go.
I don't think its just the politicians that hate him, most Zimbabweans would love to see him dead too. Not surprising really considering how much he has screwed up their country.
