Hey yoyoyoyoyoyo...,

Well, the Colorado River was dammed up behind the Glen Canyon Dam. Now, instead of a raging muddy tourant, there is a bottom clean spillway - They are still there, just the water is diverted to Pheonix, LA, and other cities before the river gets to the ocean. Actually, the river does not make it to the sea any more. Other dams along the way server to provide recreation. Mead, Parker, etc.

The Grand Canyon was carved out of rock by the Colorado River over many millenia. It is still there, at the bottom of the canyon. That is also the same river which was dammed by Hoover(Boulder) Dam to create Lake Mead which is on the border between Arizona & Nevada.

That would be the Colorado, it's still there, but it's dammed and has a lot less water in it.
