This is not uncommon, even among identical twins. If your twins are fraternal, they are as likely to be opposite handed as two siblings conceived and born at different times. If they're identical, the left/right handedness could be a feature known as "mirror image." In rare cases, mirror imaging can even affect internal organs (heart on the other side, stomach, liver, etc. reversed in one twin).
I found the following from the link listed below:
"What are Mirror Image Twins?:
"Mirror imaging occurs in about 25% of identical twins. It's characterized by opposite features, such as one twin being right handed, and one being left handed, opposite hair whorl patterens, a mole being on the opposite side of one twin's face and other reversals. This feature is very common in conjoined twins, some to the extent that the internal organs of one twin are reversed (which is very rare in non-conjoined mirror twins). Scientists believe that mirror twinning is a characteristic of late separating identicals. Mirror imaging is nothing to worry about, and is basically a quirk in the twinning process."
If your twins are indentical, that doesn't mean every thing about them is identical. Did you know identical twins have different fingerprints? So it's no surprise if they develop different personalities. This is a feature of nature vs nurture. Their environments are shaping them in different ways. It's ok; it's perfectly normal.
Just enjoy each of your twins as individuals.

As a twin, I can help. If they take seperate paths they could be two completely different people, but if they spend alot of time together and grow up hanging out with each other and the same social group, which they probably will, they'll share a bond that's unexplainable, and while they will still be individuals they will know each other perfectly, the myth of the psychic connection, is that, a myth. It's that you've spent your whole life together, you can practically read each others minds. Don't worry, if one is a lefty and one is a righty, just don't let them be isolated with each other, or they'll be weird, make sure they're social with other kids.

I baby sit two twin boys and they are completely different one is blonde hair brown eyes and fair skin the other is brown hair hazel eyes and tan, one bites and hits and the other is calm and loving, two different little boys they act different and do different things , it's good that they have their own personality less conflict between the two. Just because you are a twin doesn't mean you have to be the same, I wouldn't want any one to be like me, I want to be my own. There is nothing wrong with them be happy that they are healthy.

twins are individual people, so even identical twins will have different personalities.
A herd of cows was cloned from 1 individual and they all had different personalities too (herd leaders and followers)
we are more than just our genetics
