You will see it time and time again during debates or arguments - they never can argue points - the GOP garners votes by evoking fear out of voters.

That doesn't sound fair. It's as though the GOP threatens more terrorist attacks on America unless they get their way.

That doesn't seem right.

This is their whole campaign. Republicans want the American people to cower in fear and hate so they can maintain their power. It's they way they have always been. IN the 60's 70's and 80's they wanted everyone to fear the black man in America. It was called their southern strategy then.

You mean fear politics like scaring old people with lies about the fictitious social security "lockbox" which never existed? Like we don't hear that tired moldy one every 4 years. Like bogus TV ads about lynching? No fear politics there, nopers. Like all the invading privacy BS with no evidence of anyone's privacy being invaded? All the liberal BS about how the Patriot Act takes American's freedoms away, but we never actually have seen any innocent Americans suffering from it.

Liberals are weak on national security, just look at how they vote! They consistently try to undermine every action in the war on terror. You think Americans don't see that?

How does partial birth abortion and gay marriage keep us secure?

I think Will's answer is the best so far. Your question indicates that you don't know what ad hominem attacks are.

I challenge any Leftist to discuss the issues based on Fact and Reason. I'm a Liberal Intellectual and I find that the facts tend very strongly to favor Conservative viewpoints.

I just got my latest MoveOn.org email. What a bunch of goofballs - but they sure know how to suck the money out of the pockets of the Stupid People...

relies upon on your situation, personality and the nature of the attack. If it were for paintings then that's business enterprise coverage, if it change into own and incorrect then swing away. the in worry-free words suggestion i visit offer is do no longer make it own in reaction, if someone attacks you your protecting your position and the integrity of it really is what counts. even if in case your position is smooth and also you should no longer be bothered, then ignore about it.

Liberals have actually been stronger on defense throughout history. It is the Neocon rhetoric that keeps the average, uninformed, politically ignorant American scared and smoke screened into thinking that Democrats are weak. Bullcocky! There are far more veterans that are public figures that are Democrats that Republicans. And the Republicans that are in office now are nothing but chickenhawks.

people these days are used to fast food, and 1 hour photo, they dont have time to investigate anything on thier own so the GOP can throw all kinds of accusations, and know that most people will just take it as fact because the TV never lies

Isn't this ad hominem? You fail to acknowledge that there are very good, very well-thought out arguments coming from our side. Yeah, we get mean and frustrated, but only because you cling to the same old nonsense that has been discredited over and over again.

Ad hominem attacks are ones that "attack the messenger" rather than the message - kind of like yours. It's what Liberals tend to do.

Well, it's because most people are really stupid and that's why we need a dictator like Queen Hillary the Great to rule over us and tell us what to think and what we can and cannot do - all for our own good, OF COURSE!

It's worked for both the major political parties for years. And more and more people are following that model, rather than addressing the issues on the merits. So, why stop following what obviously works?
