i think the right color for you is like some kind of a light pink color..or some kind of a peachy color.

Blush is a great addition to your make-up bag! To find your shade, pinch your cheeks and then look in the mirror. You want to find a blush that gives you that "just pinched" color. It's different for everyone, but based on your description of yorself I'd say a pinky-mauve color. You should stick with cool colors, since you have blue eyes.

You should definitely try Cover Girl Cheekers Blush (about $4 at Wal-Mart). Plumberry Glow is a good shade. http://www.covergirl.com/cgcollection/face/blush/cheekers1.jhtml

Sephora Blush is totally awesome, too ($10 at sephora.com or in Saphora stores). Brun Rose is really pretty. http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P43201&shouldPaginate=true&categoryId=C12181

Actually, you have the same coloring as me! The colors that work best on us are warm colors. I am using True Match in a color called barely blushing. Its a great blush and goes on light and stays on all day! You can buy it at any Walgreens or Walmart. Its not expensive either. I don't remember exactly what it cost, but I know its within the budget you mention. I hope you like it! (0:

Wear pink blush. Use maybelline Matte Mousse in Whipped Strawberries.

Try a bronze blush or light colored blush.
Your freckles give some color to your skin. So you may not need a lot.

You could go to a big retail store and have them experiment with blushes and then try to match the color at Walmart.

Get a light peach based blush for daytime and get a light bronzer with some shimmer for night time. I have Physicians Formula summer eclipse in moonlight 3104. Its light and has both light bronzer and shimmer and its under $10 you can find it at Walmart.

since you are not used to wearing any and dont know what color to buy either go to rite aid because they allow you to exchange for free even if used. Or go to a Kohls, where you can try it out for free. and there blush is 10 dollars.

Choose a blush that is the same shade as your gums. Apply it lightly. Yes, it does make a big difference.

You can go to Wal-Mart don't wear a color to dark because since you have fair skin it will make you look fake so get one that is hardly noticeable and it does make a diffrence on your face, you'll look older and prettier. =)

I don't actually know that much about makeup, but from your description it sounds like you'd do best with a light pink color, or something light, at least.
