It is not wrong but can be unhealthy in many ways.

- Excessive typing can lead to wrist injuries.

- Monotonous or bad posture can lead to back problems.

- Eye strain can cause vision problems.

- Overall decrease in physical activity can lead to obesity higher risk of heart attacks, strokes etc.

- Excessive and sustained high brain activity can have harmful effects.

- Large gaps in food and water intake can lead to ulcers and other intestinal problems.

- Large gaps between times of urinating can lead to infections.

- Sitting down too long can cause deep vein thrombosis

.. and the list can go on.

Good god, I think I have at least half of that. I better shutdown after posting this.

Modern LCD and laptop screens are far far far better for your than old CRT or the dreaded monochrome CRT green screen you now find in museums and landfills... I wouldn't worry about your eyes if this is the case. Just remember to get some exercise when you're not pulling an 8 hour computer marathon and try to have a life outside the computer.

Well, it might make you feel kind of bored. like me. i do absolutely nutthing for 5 hours straight on the computer id like to ease my myspace addiction! ahhh yea myspace has got me under its powers gosh gottta love the myspace!

not really .. .some pcs are used 24 hours a day .. but keep sure that the fans are working fine .. and take care of your eyes

Wrong according to whom? You going to let me decide? You going to let the fourth person to answer decide for you??? Now your parents might be able to answer that for you. If you are an adult, then um if it's ok with you, it's ok.

Depends on why you're doing that. If it's work or school, then NO it isn't wrong. If it's pleasure, it might be if you have other duties.

No, unless you are 400 pounds, have no job, and never get off your @$$ because you have no friends.

However, if you are addicted to Yahoo! answers, talk to friends alot, and are bored - then its ok. :)
