More ram is the best solution. But if you don't have the cash for that, you can always turn off some of the major details (visual stuff) in the game, like shadowing, background details, and other graphics. That can speed things up pretty good.
Also adjust the memory setting in Windows to work best for gaming. There are some memory management programs to free up ram and such. I have not had much better performance using those, but for others it has helped. You can find them at:

Good luck on your mission.

programs, not that i know of, but try shutting down all the programs you have running while playing the game, this means all the stuff u see down by the time, those take up memory... other ways are getting more ram and a video card, like u said u dont want to lol

Upgrade the ram , always speeds up a computer. Also end all programs that you do not use.

for starters you should do a "disk cleanup" this can be found in your start menu. after that you should defragment your drives. do all of them just to be save. (doesn't take long) and if none of these things work the way you want, then upgrade the RAM.

add more ram or memory to your computer. Or plug it into a 220 plug . That should double the speed.
