Generally, what women do to skip a period is simply not take the 'sugar pills' for 7 days at the end of your pack, but immediately start your next pack of pills...I believe that only holds off your period for a month though, so don't think you can take the hormone pills back to back to back and stop menstruating...

Seasonale (sp?) I think is the new pill that has you menstruate only 4 times a year...and the Depo Provera injection (my preference) often stops your menstruation altogether.

well you should have started a few months ago and saved the last pill form all your packs so for a few months you would start a day earlier. but then while on vacation take all the extra pills you saved it will keep you from starting

i have read in order to suspend your cycles, dont take the last week of the pills because the last week is what makes your period come but don't do this too frequently though or there could become a problem but for now it is safe to do

it is never safe to skip a period even if it is possible. it is very risky

don't take the placebo pills, just go straight to the next cycle...i think...you might want to check here before you do anything though... www.webmd.com
