Your mother is your parent.
Your father is also your parent.
Your mother and your father are your parents.
If you took a whole bunch of parents and placed
them in a room you would have a PTA, which is
a great big mess of people concerned about their kids'
education. The men will talk about golf and how much money they made last week. The women will talk about their most painful operation they had. Someone will be up at the front of the room talking like they know something but boring everyone to death. There will not be any beer available. And that is the plural of parents.

You have to use the group word, possibly a plethora of parents.or perhaps a gaggle or maybe a determination of parents.Anyhow all they require is that the children are well fed and warm.
