Both of my boys started tackle football this year (10 and 7 years old) I am sooooooo excited and they seem to be having a blast. With the exception of me putting in their pads (the ones that snap on at the top of the pants) upside down the first time (husband still snickering) we are doing well.
**On a less than happy side note, they practice Tue and Thur (yes will be missing the start of pro ball) and the games are always Sat. nights (so there goes a hunk of college ball) Is it tacky to take a radio to the game?**

No, my brother played college when I was in highschool and he was in college and my little brother was in Little league - she took a radio and a mini-tv! She didn't miss a game and I love her to this day for it. Go to every game and take a radio - you won't miss anything unless you go for refreshments.

no take the radio, just make sure some one lets u know what ur boys are doing because if u arn't excited for ur boys when they make a good play, thay will be dissapointed in u. and u know they will want to talk to u about it after the game. especialy if u know football.

No it is not tacky. This is fun time for your boys before things get serious in jr high and high school. There will be plenty of plays to see and get excited about. Enjoy yourself.

Get yourself a DVR, assuming you have cable or satalite. I`m a die hard Steelers fan but if my boy decides to play football, you better believe I`ll be at every one of his games and he`ll have my undivided attention. But I suppose it would be ok to check the score at half time.
