There are Post Adoption Registeries all across Canada. I'm currently registered in Edmonton.
Do a Google Search, and I'm sure you will find what you're looking for. If they can't provide copies of the adoption records for privacy reasons, you may request any medical records...they HAVE to send you those, no matter what. I got mine, and by fluke, I found out who my biological mother was.
Good luck in your search!

My adopted son's biological father didn't want to pay child support or medical bills, so he "let" me adopt him at a very early age. (four)
I often had to work two jobs to pay for everything and provide a good home, etc.
When my son reached adulthood, the biological father contacted him and tried to get back into his life. (Isn't that always the case after someone else pays the bills and raises the child)
My son told him to never contact him again, as he is nothing to him.

My advice is to leave it alone.

First find out if your father was adopted, and if he wants to find his biological parents, many adoptees don't want to and should not be forced to do so...

If he does wish to find them he is the one who should look not you..

If he wishes to look he can contact these organizations...

hi Emma. initiate with asking your mom to jot down each and every thing she remembers being informed about her adoption. also, ask if she has (or can get) her adoption papers. there is tips in those that ought to help. Contacting the business enterprise or lawyer that dealt with the adoption is yet another strong option. many times they could furnish non-figuring out tips that would help your seek for. And, finally, answer my IM so i can help you more beneficial right away, in case you need. :)

there are many websites that will let you publicly provide free profiles of who you are and who you are looking for.... these websites won't do a search for you for free but if the person you are looking for happens to fall upon one of these websites then you are in luck. good luck and take care.

Unless you are a young kid, your father's biological parents are dead. Leave them be.
